Hominid Labs

There are five parts to the Hominid Lab. Each part can be accessed separately from this page

Part One -Posture

This part shows the changes that have occured inposture from our early ancestors to modern man

Part Two - Skull Features

This part highlights the differences in skull structure among an early hominid, a gorilla and modern man.

Part Three - Teeth

This part examines the differences in the teeth of modern man, a gorilla and an early hominid.

Part Four - Height and Weight

Over millions of years, the average height and weight of our ancestors has changed to bring us to where we are today. Some of these changes are seen in this part.

Part Five - Hands

The hands of various modern primates are compared to that of modern man. This can tell us many things about how these organisms live their lives compared to us.
